the location is dedicated to discovering the hidden history of D.C.’s places, people, and culture, and revealing them to you.

The author, Kimberly Bender, is a land use attorney and the Executive Director at one of the District’s most wonderful hidden gems – the Heurich House Museum.  Also known as the “Brewmaster’s Castle”, this fireproof and intact Victorian mansion was built by D.C.’s most successful brewer, Christian Heurich, and is located in Dupont Circle.  Come visit!

the location is also a monthly featured segment on WAMU 88.5’s Metro Connection, Washington D.C.’s local NPR station.
